Marguerite Elva Johnson of Seabrook, TX, went home to be with the Lord on Oct. 4, 2011. She was born Mar. 23, 1917 in Houston, TX, the daughter of Sam and Zelma Bundick. She attended Cottage Grove Elementary and Reagan High School. She worked for Weingarten’s followed by 20+ years of service at Wyatt's Cafeterias. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Seabrook, TX, where she was baptized at age 84.
Marguerite was blessed with a large, loving family, including 9 children, Larry, Bobby, Sharon, Diane, Nancy, Pete, Mary, David, and Kevin; 17 grandchildren, Norma, Christian, Stefan, Lisette, Tami, Traci, Billy, Stacye, Woody, Melissa, Shari, Ryan, Damon, Katrina, Mark, David, and Gerald; 26 great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Celesta, Jacob, Noelani, Blas, Mark Anthony, Christopher, Alex, Grant Michael, Sam, Sophia, Kenni-Richelle, Jared, Megan, Rebekah, Christian, Jennifer, Wyatt, Kody, Garrett, Kaitlyn, Cainan, Kirsten, Joshua, Haley, and Ashlyn, 4 great-great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Mariah, Jonathan, and Rylee, and her great-granddog, Sophie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elwin (Johnny) Johnson, sons, Larry Wisnoski, Bobby Wisnoski, and David Johnson, daughter, Nancy Johnson, grandson, Chris Wisnoski, brother, Glen Bundick, and sisters, Susie MacDonald and Mary Culver.
She is survived by her brother, Charles Bundick, her son Pete Johnson, her daughters, Sharon Wisnoski, Diane Mahar, and Mary Rogan, 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and an extended network of nieces, nephews and close family friends.
The family wishes to extend grateful thanks to her home health provider, Reather, for her years of loving service to their mother and to Faith Community Hospice for their gracious care in the final days.
Services to be held on Sat., 10/8/2011, in the Chapel at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, TX 77598 with visitation starting at 2:30 pm followed by Christian burial services from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm and graveside following. Family and friends are invited to a reception at First Baptist Church, 1506 Bayport Blvd (Hwy 146), Seabrook, TX 77586, after services.
