Lyn was a fierce and determined woman, ahead of her time in many ways. She faced challenges head-on and never backed down from a fight. Her strength and tenacity were an inspiration to everyone who knew her.
Despite her sometimes tough exterior, Mom had a kind heart and was always willing to help others, sometimes to a fault. She had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. She was a connector, keeping in touch with family and friends over her entire life.
Mom was a world traveler, and her adventurous spirit led her to explore many fascinating places around the globe. She was always up for an adventure and loved to experience new cultures and cuisines. Decades after she lived in Japan, she had a special fondness for the people and culture there.
Mom loved to share stories about her and others travels, talk about world events, and keep up with the comings and goings of her extended family. She was a complex person, and there was always more to her than met the eye.
Mom loved her dachshunds. They were her constant companions, and she cherished the joy they brought into her life. Her Dachsund Ringo was with her at the end.
Mom will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, as well as many friends and extended family members.
Donations may be made in her Memory to the American Cancer Society.
