Shirley was the “Queen of Dairy Queen”, with her 30+ years of service. She loved flowers of all
kinds, but her favorite was any type of cactus, the rarer the better. She loved to cook and
share her “secrets” with anyone willing to learn. Mah loved to Square Dance & Jitter-Bug, boy
could she cut a rug. The most important thing in her life was her FAMILY. No matter what,
Mah was always there for everyone for any & everything. She was the most loving woman
with the biggest heart of gold. Shirley had a backbone of steel and was amazing at fixing
problems with such direct ease. She has handled all her trials & tribulations and is now at
rest and looking down on each of us. Though “Mah” Shirley will be missed so very much, we all must remember what she would say, “She couldn’t stay forever physically”; but know we all
will carry her in our hearts and have our own memories of her.
Please respect Mah’s wishes and dress casual, as she said, “see her off as she knew us,
NOT dressed as clowns”. No ties, jackets, etc. She wants all to come as if you were just coming
to visit.
Visitation will be held Sunday, September 23 from 11:30-12:30PM with a Life Celebration beginning at 12:30PM at Forest Park East Funeral Home located at 21620 Gulf Freeway Webster, Texas. Please dress casually as this was one of her wishes. No ties, jackets etc. She wants all to come as if you were just coming to visit.
