Linda was born September 17, 1958, in San Antonio, Texas to Lawrence and Merilyn Evans.
Linda’s beautiful gift of music and worship was evident early and she was writing songs and playing guitar in her early teens. She was a music major at East Central University and graduated with a B.S. in Music. After graduation, Linda spent a few years in Oklahoma and then back home to Texas teaching music and choir where she met and married her beloved husband of 31 years, Reynaldo Lira.
Two of Linda’s greatest joys were her sons and she left institute teaching for the blessing and opportunity to home school her boys. Her other greatest joy was worshiping her Lord in song. Linda led many worship teams over the years as well as recording an album with original songs. She loved teaching and sharing her gifts. Linda also loved sharing her relationship and love for the Lord. Her love for Jesus was always evident in her demeanor and sweet spirit. If you met Linda, then you have been cherished, loved and covered in prayer.
