Linda Gail (Smallwood) Allen

Linda Smallwood Allen, 76, of Houston, Texas, born on November 2, 1947, in Ada, Oklahoma, departed this life on April 18, 2024. Linda moved to Texas with her family at an early age where she graduated from Milby High School. She started life as a cosmetologist. Then met and married Larry Allen and had three amazing children. While the marriage didn't last, they remained family until his death on April 21, 2021. She spent most of her career at Champion Paper Mill in office services. After retiring, Linda spent the rest of her days living with and loving on her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Smallwood Sr. and Margurette Moreau; sister, Sue Cairy (Arthur); brother-in-law, Dee Matthews; former husband, Larry Allen (Dixie) and son-in-law Melvin Johnson.

She leaves to cherish her memories children, Teresa Johnson, Alisa Allen, Greg Allen (Gloria); grandkids, Michael (Priscilla), Brittany, Troy, Briony (Dontae Sr), Sabrina, Traylund (Aaron), Alexis, Greg Jr; great grandkids Byron, Shemirah, Jordan, Ethan, Dontae Jr, Arianna, Dylan, D'Anthony, Jocelyn, Traylund Jr, soon to be Koda; great-great grandkids: Makayla, Bralin, Aaryn, Lee, Skylar, Bailee, Londyn, Khane; sisters Dolores Matthews, Dorothy DeWalt (Ron); brother Jesse Smallwood Jr (Terri); special friend Willie Taylor; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.

A celebration of life will be held on April 26, 2024 at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, with viewing from 1-2pm and service starting at 2pm.
