She was born in Pollock, Texas on May 7, 1932 to John and Annie Palmer.
She was married to Eugene H. McWhirter for 59 years.
Lila worked for Southwestern Bell for five years and Lila also had a passion for gardening.
Lila was preceded in death by her husband Eugene H. McWhirter.
She is survived by her son; Byron and daughter; Karen
