Kenneth was born on October 31, 1940, to Jonnie Mae Johnson. He was raised by Junie Jones and Plummer Sweat in La Marque, TX. Kenneth was baptized at an early age and served as a Deacon at Bell Zion Baptist Church and New Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church until his death. Kenneth graduated from Texas Southern University with a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Education. He dedicated 40 years of his life teaching Reading and English at Houston ISD, Texas City ISD, and LaMarque ISD.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of over 18 years, Earlene Jackson; daughter Yvonne Y. Jackson (Tyrone Hayes); son Kenneth Lee Jackson, Jr.; step-daughters Lenora Fanuiel and Courtney Waters; granddaughters J'sia Jackson-Hayes and Bethany Jackson-Price; grandson Jonathon Fanuiel; Godson Willie Thomas, Sr.; niece Alma Sweat; three Great-grandchildren; and a host of family and special friends.
