Randy,

For so many of us you are the man behind the scenes helping make everything work. When I heard of your great loss, I was moved as I was reminded that despite the remote nature of our work we  are  all, indeed connected. We are not just faceless names on Zoom calls and Integration meetings. My prayers are with you and your family Randy. Stay strong.

We are so very sorry to hear of your loss of precious Karen. We watched her grow up at Memorial Baptist. She was a joy to everyone who knew her.  Always a Christian example. 
Heaven received an Angel. Love and continued prayers  for all the family.

Karen and I became colleagues when she joined the Special Programs Department in Pasadena ISD.  We became friends just about the next day. She was always a bright and shining light in all our lives as well a talented and respected educator and team member.  She and I learned we had several things in common.   We were both SFASU Alums,  had beloved daughters only a few of years apart, and enjoyed many of the same things in life.  Life is a journey and I’m so sad that Karen’s journey on this earth is over.  I take solace in knowing she had a deep and abiding faith and that she is looking down from above and watching over us.  In Ecclesiastes  it says there is a time for all things under heaven.  There is a time to weep and a time to rejoice.  I weep for my friend, I rejoice that she now has her heavenly home.   I pray that Randy, Jamey, her grandchildren, step-children, in-laws, and her mother and siblings can find peace in the comforting embrace of the Lord as they remember this wonderful lady. 

What a wonderful and God filled person. Anytime you found yourself being blessed by being in her presence it was an uplifting experience. Karen lived out her faith and "ran the race" well. No doubt God is well pleased with her. We will miss having her in our presence, although she is now in the presence of the Lord. We will in Gods perfect time be reunited with her.

Karen was a very dear friend and a trusted mentor. I really came to know Karen when I became the SIOP Facilitator at Dobie and she was an ESL specialist. Even after I left Dobie, Karen and I remained close, and she always gave great advice.  It was nice when she moved to League City because she was closer to me, and we could spend more time together. I will miss her so much! My heartfelt condolences to Randy and the rest of the family. My prayers are with you. 

Karen was a very Dear friend of mine. We sang in the choir at Memorial Baptist Church for many years and even sang duets together, along with singing in quartets together.  She was quite talented.  I can’t find enough good words to describe my friend Karen ❤️.  She never met a stranger. You could always depend on Karen.  I will Miss her Dearly.  I think she Loved the ASTROS as much as me😁👍.  But, 1 thing is certain,  “I Will See You Again Someday my Sister in Christ ❤️🙏.  “


Karen’s death saddened me to the core!  
She was such an exuberant person,  who always had  a big smile and kind words to share when you saw her!  I heard her sing at church many times and boy could she sing...like an angel!  
Her beautiful hair was always perfect and you could tell she took great care with it!  I was a teacher at Sparks and would see her quite often   and she always exuded such happy and positive vibes!  I could go on and on about what made Karen so unforgettable and special to anyone who knew her!  
She will be greatly missed beyond measure!  
To Randy and her family.... I am SO VERY SORRY for this loss and I will be boldly praying for you as you try and make sense of this sudden event!
To Grace.... I will also be praying for you sweet lady,  as you try to find peace with  this loss of your precious daughter!

So so sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Karen for many years at Sparks El. She was such a beautiful lady in all ways. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched. May God wrap His arms around you during this time.

I remember Karen well from our years at Sam Rayburn HS.  She was sweet, very intelligent and quite an accomplished flute player.  She and I both finally made All State our senior year - 1974

I admired Karen as a professional when I had the opportunity to work with her at Sparks Elementary.  She was always positive, willing to help and mentor me as a first year teacher.  She was a ray of sun with a beautiful smile.  Her light dimmed here on earth, but she is bright star in heaven.  💔😢

Karen was such a dear friend who welcomed me and mentored me at Pasadena ISD. We shared an office for several months and developed a wonderful friendship over a period of five years. She always shared beautiful stories of her husband, family, and church. I knew she looked forward to one day being a grandmother and I’m glad she was blessed to have had that treasured experience. Her memory will be cherished by me and many other people whose lives she touched. God Bless her family and may He give you the strength to carry on.
