Karen Sue Douglas, 65 of League City, passed away on Saturday August 28, 2021. She was born August 9, 1956 in Pasadena, TX to George and Grace Grissom. Karen was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, and never met a stranger. A woman of unwavering faith, Karen served the Lord and shared her musical gift by singing in the church choir. Karen was a life-long teacher and devoted over 35 years to children’s education. She was an avid Houston sports fan, in particular baseball, acquiring her love of sports from her father. Karen was a remarkable woman and will be greatly missed by so many.
She is preceded in death by her father.
Karen leaves behind to honor her memory her loving husband of 30 years, Randy Douglas; daughter, Jamie Warren and husband Aaron, stepdaughter Chrissy Ross and husband Derek, and stepson Brad Douglas; grandchildren, Jameson Warren, Hannah Warren, Tanner Ross and Mackenzie Ross; mother, Grace Grissom; brother, John Grissom and wife Staci; sister, Deanna Pirtle; along with nieces, nephews and countless friends.
Services celebrating Karen’s life will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Nassau Bay Baptist Church located at 18131 Nassau Bay Dr, Houston, TX 77058.
