Joseph Patrick Fleming, 68, of Friendswood, TX went to be with our Heavenly Father on October 22, 2017 surrounded by close family and loved ones. He was born in Pasadena, TX on August 24,1949 to John Milton Fleming and Helen Gallagher Fleming. Joe was married to Winnie Blair Fleming; they celebrated their 40th year of marriage in March of this year. Joe enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1966 and was in Vietnam where he earned several honorable medals, including ‘The Bronze Star”. After leaving the Marine Corps in 1970 Joe worked for a welding supply company until he decided to be his own boss and he started his own company in 1976. Joe had a passion for fishing while his children were young, and fished every weekend from his beach house or his Boston Whaler. Then Joe took up golf…Joe loved golf, if he wasn’t working on his swing he was joking with guys in the clubhouse. Joe loved telling jokes, even when he would tell them wrong, he was always a people pleaser and would give the shirt off his back if you were in need.
Joe was preceded in death by Joseph Patrick Fleming (grandson) John Milton Fleming (father) & Helen Gallagher Fleming (mother).’
Joe is survived by Winnie Blair Fleming (wife) Jon Paul Fleming (son), Julia Michelle Fleming (daughter) Kailyn Renee Fleming (granddaughter) Avery Grace Fleming (granddaughter) Jason Allen Thornhill (son in law).
A celebration of Joe's life will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at
