He was born in Houston, Texas, on August 30, 1953 to Junior and Dorothy Ramsey.
He was a member of First Baptist Graves- Groves, Texas and had a passion for Christ, his family and friends. He loved to bowl, golf and never missed watching an astros game !
He was preceded in death by his parents, Junio and Dorothy Ramsey and a host of relatives and friends.
He is survived by his two daughters, Kayla Ramsey and husband Iman, Stacey Graham and husband John; three grandsons, Frankie Wehmeyer, Rizik Hussein, KC Graham; sister Cathie Crate; brother-in-law Steve Crate; nieces Michelle Crate; Crystal DeLaCruz and numerous extended family and a host of friends.
John's Celebration of life is scheduled for January 13, 2024 at 2:00pm at Good Times Marina, 11906 7th 1/2 St, Houston, TX 77044 .
