Jepsey “Pete” Dudley Kimble, Jr., 68, passed away September 6, 2022. He was born in Jacinto City, Texas on July 26, 1954 to Jepsey “JD” Kimble, Sr. and Mary Catherine Kimble. He was married to Cynthia "Cindy" Kimble for 19 years.
He got the nickname Pete when he was a young boy. It was because he would go outside without a shirt on, causing him to tan. And then someone referred to him as “Pete” and then the name just stuck! He grew up going on camping trips with the family and enjoying the outdoors; fishing and hunting. He bowled and loved scratch-off lottery tickets, even if he didn’t win! And you would never find Pete without a cold Pepsi in his hand! He also had a huge music collection.
He was the type of person that would help people when they asked; giving out food to neighbors. He loved his dogs, Max and Mya that were referred to as “our kids.” He took pride in cutting the grass, being a certain length every time he cut it! Pete was a down-to-earth guy that worked hard every day.
He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Catherine Kimble.
He will be deeply missed by his wife Cindy Kimble; children Kimberly Kimble Rodden (Rodney), Jepsey Kimble III (Cindy), and Melissa Ann Kimble; father Jepsey “JD” Kimble, Sr; grandchildren Tiffanie Rodden Fenton, Colton Rodden, Jesse Kimble, Sophia Kimble, Adrian Abbott, Christian Abbott, Gabby Abbott, Kaleigh Ann Burton and Payton Burton; great-grandchildren Braylee Michelle Fenton and Paislee Elizabeth Fenton; sisters Kathryn Hallmark (Steve), Mary Jane Powell (Mike), and Carolyn "Susie" Kimble (Shannon); nieces Rachel Hallmark Zikeli, Tonya Powell Hutton, Amanda Powell Baker, and Crystal Peterson; and nephews Kevin Hallmark and Brian Hallmark; along with numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
A visitation will be held on Monday, September 12, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. Both services will be held at First Assembly of God in Channelview, located at 330 Sheldon Road.
