Janie Mae Brinson

Janie Mae Brinson, 95, of Houston, Texas passed away June 17, 2016. She was born in Lamar County, Texas on May 4, 1921 to Ted and Ethel Wallace. She was married to Alvin A. Brinson for 69 years. Janie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Janie was a member of Market Street Baptist Church for many years and then joined Woodforest Presbyterian Church in recent years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Alvin A. Brinson, son Alvin Lee Brinson, and great-grandson John John Haltom. She is survived by her daughter Julia Ann Prasco and husband Philip; sons Billy Ray Brinson and wife Janice and Donald Brinson and wife Barbara; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren; sister Susie Roberts; and brothers John Thomas and wife Ruth and Will Thomas. And many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10:00am to 11:00 am at Forest Park East Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 22, 2016. A Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 am in the chapel of Forest Park Easy Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway Webster, TX 77589. Interment to follow in Forest Park East Cemetery. Everyone is invited to join the family at Woodforest Presbyterian Church, 15330 Wallisville Road Houston, TX 77049 for a reception following all services.
