Homer "Jimmy" Lee Jones, Jr. 92, passed away on February 15th. Homer was born on October 21,1930 in Shreveport, LA to Homer Lee Jones, Sr. & Thelma Cecelia Jones. Jimmy graduated from Fair Park High School. He served in the marines. He married Ann Brady Frost. They were married for over 20 years and had 5 children. They moved to Houston, TX in 1961. In 1988 after an 8 year courtship he married his loving wife Linda Reasoner Jones and gained two more grown children. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Charles Jones & two daughters, Mary Lee Jones & Victoria Honeycutt, He is survived by 5 children, Jimmy Jones (Vicki), Don Jones, Karen Jones Kugler (Keith), Dianna Reasoner Benavides (Steve), & Debbie Reasoner Dement (Bruce); 12 grandchildren & 12 great-grand-children.
He was a member at St Christopher Catholic Church for over 15 years and moved in 2002 and attended St. Hyacinth Catholic Church for 20 years.
He was a member of IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) Local Union 716. In June of 2022 he received his pin for 70 years of service as an electrician. He loved cruising, traveling and camping. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Public visitation at Forest Park East Funeral Home will be Sunday, February 26th from 5pm to 8pm. A rosary will be recited at 7pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 27th, 11am at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 8150 Park Place Blvd., Houston, Texas. Burial to follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.
