Hilda Iris Rodriguez

Hilda Iris Rodriguez, age 77, of League City, Texas passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021 in her home at 5:45. Hilda was born September 13, 1943 in Corozal, Puerto Rico. This where she spent most of her life until moving to Houston, Texas in 1983 and settling in League City area, where she lived until her death.

She lived her life to the fullest. She will be remembered by so many as she touched so many lives through out her years. She loved to laugh and always had many jokes up her sleeves. She would take her shirt off of her back to help whom ever needed it. This lady was a Super Woman as she had a strength like no other.

Hilda was a dancing machine at family gatherings. Her Husband Paco would sometimes have to hide from her because she spun as a little top and would never come off of the floor. She was a very vibrant woman and her spirit will live on inside so many.

Her hobbies were fishing, crabbing and crocheting. As well a BBQing while spending time with friends and family. She loved to also make "pasteles" as they were made with love and a smile on her face.

Hilda will be deeply missed by her husband of 54 years Francisco Rodriguez(Paco), son Francisco Rodriguez Jr.(Frank), grandson Ashton Bryce Rodriguez, son Oscar Rodriguez, daughter Maria Salmon, son in law Riley Salmon, granddaughter Isabel Salmon and grandson Lincoln Salmon.

She was preceded in death by her father Martin Santos, mother Francisca Vega, brother Ramon Santos, brother Marcelino Santos, sister Mary Santos Negron, brother Jose Santos, brother Pablo Santos, sister Esther Santos and sister Antonia Santos

A memorial service for Hilda will be held on Monday, March 22, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598. An inurnment service will also be held on Monday, March 22, 2021 at 1:15 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038. Please wear vibrant colors if attending so we can celebrate her.
