She was preceded in death by parents, Wilhelm and Anna Schnare; husband, Heinz Wartemann; son, Steven Wartemann; granddaughter, Annette Wartemann; sister, Anniliese Schwartz.
She is survived by Thomas Wartemann, Christine Wartemann, Robin Watson, Dorothy Wingard, Carolyn LeDay, Evan Skavatsos, Marco Reyna, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Helga will be held Tuesday, October 16, 2018 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 12:30 PM at Forest Park East Cemetery.
