Harold Howard Vaughan Jr.

He was born in Beaumont, Texas on November 3, 1928 to Harold H. Vaughan Sr. and Mamie Williadean Vaughan. Harold served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict from 1949 to 1952. After his Honorable discharge from the Navy, Harold was married to the love of his life, Wanda June Vaughan for just short of 66 years. They lived in Pasadena Texas for 34 years, where Harold worked at the Shell Chemical Facility, Deer Park Texas. After retirement Harold and Wanda moved to Livingston where they lived for 29 years. During that time, he enjoyed working outdoors, planting a garden and working faithfully in the Goodrich Methodist Church. Due to his declining health, Harold and Wanda moved to La Porte Texas to be closer to family.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Mamie Vaughan, sister Pattie Martin and son-in-law Steve Smith. He is survived by his wife Wanda Vaughan of La Porte, Texas, daughter Rene Smith of Pasadena, Texas, son Harold Vaughan III and wife Laura of Deer Park, Texas, grandson Kevin Smith and Wife Shelly of Clayton, Georgia, grandson Gregg Smith and wife Christine of Manvel, Texas, granddaughter Stefani Smith and husband Scott of Houston, Texas, grandson Allen Smith and Wife Grace of Galveston, Texas, granddaughter Heather Miller and husband Brian of Deer Park, granddaughter Amanda Vaughan of Deer Park and great grandsons Titus and Caleb Miller, sister Donna Hardin and husband Oral of Bloomfield, New Mexico and brother Mike Vaughan and wife Karen of Moulton, Texas.

Viewing will be held Sunday, September 2, 2018 at 2 p.m. with services to follow at 3 p.m. at Forest Park East in Webster, Texas. In lieu of flowers the family requests that you give to either St. Jude’s, American Cancer Society, The Giedion’s or an organization of your choosing.
