Glenndale "Glenn" Ross Payne, 46 of Houston, Tx tragically departed from his loved ones late Friday afternoon on October 14, 2011. He was born June 3rd, 1965 at Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas to Bobbie Charles Payne and Patricia Annette Seaholm. He grew up in Eagle Lake, Texas and graduated from Rice Consolidated High School in 1983. He studied diesel mechanics at ITT Institute. Within a few years he made the move to the big city and was eager to call Houston home. Glenn worked for Ryder Truck Systems for over 16 years, starting out as a diesel mechanic and eventually becoming a service writer. He also worked for Freightliner as a Service Writer for approximately seven years. However, his most rewarding job was the three and a half years he spent as a Stay at Home Dad taking care of his two infant daughters.
His passions in life included music, attending concerts, hiking mountains in Colorado, camping, travelling, and skydiving where he made many friends and met the love of his life, Tammy, his wife of 16 years. Skydiving also gave Glenn the opportunity to travel, as he was a member of a top three Nationally ranked skydiving team, Deguello, for which he did videography and photography for many years. His work was recognized and published in Skydiving magazine. But by far, his greatest passion were his two girls, who were the light of his life.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Tammy, of 16 years and his daughters, Regan,10, and Jordan, 9, his mother, Patricia Seaholm of Eagle Lake, Texas, his father Bobbie and wife Judy Payne, of Cleveland, Texas, his sister, Gwendolyn Morgan of Milwauke, Wisconsin, his brother, Cameron Muzny of Eagle Lake, Texas and nephews and nieces.
