Mrs. Gladys F. Glover passed away on January 16, 2014 at the age of 88. She was born in Miller County, Georgia and preceded in death by her parents, Joshua F. Floyd and Rannie May Knight Floyd, sister, Louise F. Sims and brother, J. Milton Floyd, husbands, Edward G. (Ted) Grimes and Seth E. Glover. She is survived by her children, C. E. Ted Grimes, wife Becky, daughter Pamela (Cissy) Miller, husband Ike, Brother J. William (Bill) Floyd, wife Debi, numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Gladys was extraordinary. She worked in the Pentagon during WWII, taught instrument flying at Southern Airways and worked with her late husband in the family business. She loved working in her flowers, fishing, collecting stamps, reading and was considered a Civil War Historian and authored her reflection of early life. She was a member of Eastern Star over 50 years.
We owe so much to the Bayshore Dialysis in Pasadena and numerous wonderful doctors for helping to keep her with us as long as we did. Special thanks to Carol, Joyce, and Anita for the care given to mom.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday January 20,2014 at 10:00am at Forest Park East Funeral home. Interment will immediately follow in Forest Park East Cemetery.
