He was a long time resident of the Greater Houston Area. He graduated from Furr High School, enlisted in the US Navy, attended various trade schools and worked all of his adult life in the maintenance/millwright occupation. In 2006, he moved to Baytown where he spent the rest of his life with his wife Kathy and their family.
Over the years George had many hobbies and interests. He loved to work on trucks, motorcycles and cars, enjoyed wood carving, leatherwork, making knives and other craftsmen projects. He also loved to camp and spend time outdoors. He was a proud Texan and spent many hours driving across the state, either on his bike or in one of his classic cars or trucks. He was an adventurous Boy Scout, lifeguard, surfer, biker and so much more. He loved listening to music. He often went to concerts and would enjoyed his Sunday mornings listening to blues or bluegrass heard throughout the house. His favorite role was being a Grandpa. He had special relationships with all 21 of his grandkids.
