Fred Conner Jr.

Fred Conner, Jr. of Pearland, Texas passed away peacefully May 9, 2010 at age 86 in Friendswood, Texas. Born on November 24, 1923 in Doucette, Texas, Fred was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He and his wife Jewel Conner settled in Houston in 1947, where they raised their family. After retiring from Folger’s Coffee Company in 1973, Fred went to work for Hillman’s Distributing Company, where he stayed until his retirement. His loving wife Jewel preceded Fred in death. He is survived by his daughter Brenda and husband John Anderson; son Roger Conner and wife Vickie; daughter Susan and husband Paul Brown; granddaughter Kimberly and husband Jeff Rose; granddaughter Kristina Catron; granddaughter Lalania and husband Jeff Taylor; grandson Charlie Brown; grandson James Conner and wife Marianna; grandson Jeffrey Conner; great granddaughter Kaley Riggs; great grandson Chad Wesley Catron; great granddaughter Amelia Taylor; great grandson Ezekiel Conner; great grandson Kyle Taylor; and great granddaughter Calleigh Conner. Visitation will be held Wednesday May 12, 2010 beginning at 1 PM until service time at 2:00 PM at Forest Park East Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the National MS Society and/or Alzheimer’s Association.
