Estela Saenz Padilla, 92, of Houston, Texas passed away on December 18, 2021. Estela was born in Benavides, Texas on October 18, 1929 to Anselmo and Alicia Saenz. She was raised in Alice, Texas attending St. Joseph Catholic School.
Estela had a fulltime job as a housewife and mother of nine children. Her interests were spending time with her loved ones and her Pomeranian dog, Sache and listening music, especially The Bukis, which was her favorite band. And when watching TV it had to be on something that had Clint Eastwood in it! Her eyes would light up! She always said her “boyfriend” was David Muir on World News and that she had a cowboy in layaway. She also loved taking long road trips and earlier in life she enjoyed cooking. She was a very humble person, straight forward but a trusting person. She was a very strong, having to fight losing her two beloved sons and husband.
She was preceded in death by parents Anselmo and Alicia Saenz; first husband Andres Renaud and second husband Francisco Padilla; sister Ofelia Escobar; grandson Matthew Renaud; and two sons Gary Renaud and Adam Renaud.
She is survived by her children Xavier Renaud and wife Micdalia, Gloria J. Valle, Larry A. Renaud, Noel Renaud and wife Patricia, Sandra Guillen and husband Javier, Chris A. Renaud and wife Martha, and Brenda Switzer; 16 grandchildren David Renaud, Mark Valle, Brian Valle, Rose Renaud, Larry A. Renaud, Jr., Nicole Renaud, Naomi Tissier, Noah Renaud, Nathan Renaud, Royce Villarreal, Randy Villarreal, Christopher Guillen, Gabriel Guillen, Sean Paul Renaud, Kristen Grace Renaud and Madison Switzer; great-grandchildren Luke Renaud, Dante Valle, Isaac Valle, Christopher Valle, Laryssa Villarreal, Aysel Villarreal, Gianna Villarreal, Javier Guillen, Jr., Gabriela Guillen, Nicolas Guillen, Brianna Renaud, Jason Renaud, Jonathan Renaud, Niko Renaud, Kobe Renaud, Gavin Tissier, Petra Tissier, Sean Renaud, Shia Renaud, and Skye Renaud; sisters Severa Garcia and Alicia Saenz; brothers Ramiro Saenz and Romeo Saenz; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Estela will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will occur on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. and a committal service to follow. All services will be at Forest Park East Funeral Home and Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Valle, Brian Valle, Royce Villarreal, Randy Villarreal, Noah Renaud, and Sean Paul Renaud.
