Edward James Torres

He was born in Houston, Texas on March 30, 1936 to Hilario Torres and Guadalupe Perez. He was married to Adela M. Torres for 63 years.

Edward worked for General Foods-Maxwell House. He was an original member of PAGA and a member of American Legion Post #472. He had a passion for golf, bowling and current events. He was an avid reader but his biggest passion was for his grandchildren. Edward was a Navy Veteran and received a good conduct medal during the time he served.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Robert "Fifa" Torres, Daniel "Buddy" Torres and Fernando "Levy" Torres.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Adela; son Tomas "Larry" Torres; three daughters Annemarie Oliva (Jesus), Elizabeth Alvarado (Jesse) and Emilia Conde (Zachariah); brother Tommy Torres; sister Thelma Cerda' nine amazing grandchildren and his three even more amazing great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Edward will be held Monday, May 15, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a rosary at 6:00PM, at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598.

A funeral service will occur Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at 10:00 AM, followed by a graveside service Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Forest Park East Funeral Home and Cemetery.
