Dixie L. Freeman

LOVING WIFE , DAUGHTER, MOTHER,GRANDMOTHER AND FRIEND, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 15, 2012. Dixie was born on March 1, 1935 to John Melvin Linthicum and Nannie (nee Burns) Linthicum in Robins, NC.

She married her husband and partner for life, Henry L. Freeman on July 1, 1956.

She is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, brothers; John Linthicum Jr., Bill Linthicum, Lester Linthicum and Ed Linthicum and sisters; Dorthy Garfield and Thelma Williams.

Survivors include daughter Johnise Trueheart and her husband Brent of Houston TX., son E. Scott Freeman and his wife Tamra of Houston TX., sisters; Jean Jones of Raleigh, NC., Johnsie Foster of Raeford, NC., granddaughters; Ashley and Lauren Trueheart and step grandson Justin Gilmore, as well as numerous extended family and friends.

Dixie was a loving person who never refused anyone that needed or requested help or needed a kind understanding ear.

Funeral service will be held at Forest Park East Cemetery at 21620 Gulf Freeway Webster TX., 77598 on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 12:30 pm with Interment to follow.
