Debbie Nicholson

Debbie was born on June 1, 1960 in Louisville, Kentucky to loving parents Charles (Chuck) and Shirley Dawson. In 1979 Debbie graduated from Limestone High School located in Limestone, Maine after having attended many different schools as her father served over 27 years in the US Air Force and was stationed in various places around the world. Debbie moved to Texas in 1992 to be close to her parents and she met her husband Darrell shortly thereafter. For the past 20 years, Debbie has worked as a salesperson in the jewelry departments of JC Penney and Zales at Almeda Mall, and Helzberg Diamonds at Deerbrook Mall. Debbie faithfully served God as she and her husband have been members of Lakewood Church since 1997.

Debbie was a loving daughter to her parents, wife to her husband, and mother to her daughter, Sabrina Lopez, her son, Brandon Nickerson and her step daughter Heather Nicholson. Most precious in Debbie’s heart were her four beloved grandchildren Adrian Lopez, Brandon Jr, Jessica, and Salene Nickerson. Debbie was especially looking forward to the birth of her third granddaughter Madelyn Nickerson who is expected to arrive any day.

Debbie is survived by her parents, husband, children, grandchildren, brothers Charles (Terry) and Michael Dawson, son-in-law Daniel Lopez, daughter-in-law Cassie Nickerson, mother-in-law Sunny Nicholson, sisters-in-law Elisa Dawson, Heidi, and Amy Nicholson, and brothers-in-law Darin, Darick, Keith and Toby Nicholson.

The services will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home at 12:00 pm on Monday, October 7, 2013. Pastor and founder of Lakewood Church Ms. Dodie Osteen will officiate. The viewing will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Sunday, October 6, 2013. Pallbearers are Charles (Chuck) Dawson, Darrell Nicholson, Charles (Terry) Dawson, Michael Dawson, Brandon Nickerson, and Daniel Lopez.
