Daniel Roy Staley, age 67 went home to be with Jesus, on Tuesday March 12, 2019. Dan was born on August 10, 1951 in Houston, Texas. He attended South Houston High School, Class of 1969. He worked for many years as a Land Surveyor, and proudly served the great City of Pasadena as a Firefighter and EMT for the Pasadena Volunteer Fire Department. Dan was a true volunteer at heart, helping where ever he could when he was able. His joy was volunteering with the Art Park Players.
Left to cherish his memory is wife, Murline Staley; daughter, Angela and husband David Mounts; daughter, Margo Staley and his adopted daughter, Angela and husband Les Perkins, and fur baby Sassy; grandchildren, MaKenzie and Brennan Mounts, Logan and Emma Perkins, grand dog, Willie; numerous nieces and nephews; many friends for Dan never met a stranger. Dan Staley was a kind and caring man with a captivating laugh and an inspiration to all that knew him, but his girls and his grandkids were the love of his life.
Family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, March 16, 2019 in the chapel of Forest Park East Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life following at 12:00 pm. A committal service will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.
A Fellowship Reception to be held at LifeBridge Baptist Church, 2709 Kingsdale Dr., Deer Park, Texas at 3:00 pm following services.
The family would like to express their appreciation to all his amazing Doctors and Nurses at Bayshore Hospital for their kindness and compassion given to Dan in his final days. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Dan’s memory to the Pasadena Fire Department Toys for Tots Program.
