Curtis Edward Basco, 76, of Alvin, TX passed away December 12, 2022. He was born in Sacramento, CA on July 28, 1946 to Elmer and Margaret Basco. Curtis successfully operated his insurance company, Capital Assurance Management, in Pearland for the last 30 years. He was a member of San Jacinto Association of Life Underwriters and served as president from 1992-1993.
Curtis had a passion for rock climbing, hiking, the outdoors and working in his yard and pool. He loved and spoiled his dogs Lucky Boy, Puddin and Bonnie and he was always willing to be the rescuer.
He was preceded in death by his father Elmer Basco and mother Margaret Basco.
He is survived by Carol Averyt Basco; his sister Carla Rea and husband Bill Rea; brother Brett Basco; son Gary and Tiffany Basco; daughter Laurie Cox and husband Aaron Cox; nephew: Cass Rea; niece Katy Rea; grandchildren Hannah Thomas and her husband Tyler Thomas, Emma Cullen, Mia Basco, Ava Basco, Baylor Cox, and Beaux Cox; and his children’s mother Carol Barbee Basco.
A visitation for Curtis will be held on Monday, December 19, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a service to start at 2:00 p.m. and a committal to follow. All services will be at Forest Park East Funeral Home and Cemetery, located at 21620 Gulf Freeway in Webster, Texas.
