Chung Dinh Nguyen

On Friday, August 14th, 2020, Chung Dinh Nguyen was called home at the age of 90. The world has lost a great son, brother, husband, father, and leader. Viewing and visitations will be held on Friday, August 21st, 2020, 8:00AM-8:00PM at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, TX 77598. Family and anyone going in funeral procession will meet at Forest Park East Funeral Home at 8:00AM Saturday, August 22nd, 2020 following Graveside Service will be held at 9:15AM at Earthman Resthaven, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, Texas 77060.

Chung was born in Saigon, Vietnam on June 11, 1930. He had many talents but was remembered as a renowned world healer.

We were very blessed to learn many valuable lessons from Chung. One of many lessons is to “do what I can today and not wait until tomorrow”. Even at 90 years young, he remained witty and full of humor – when appropriate or not – it did not matter as long as he didn’t mind it. Through his incredible hard work, he helped sustain his family and set a strong foundation for his children. He was ambitious with his career and was serious about his work, yet he had a gentle domestic side. His love for his children, stepchildren and grandchildren transcends beyond words and time. To know Chung was to know love and family.

Chung is preceded in death by his parents (Can Dinh Nguyen and Nam Thi Tran). He is survived by his wife Mai Thi Tran, one sister Lan Thi Nguyen, six children: Thuy Bich Nguyen (and family, Vietnam), Hung Dinh Nguyen (and family, Vietnam), Dung Dinh Nguyen (and family, Vietnam), Thuan Dinh Nguyen (and family, Vietnam), Van Bich Nguyen (and family, Houston) Hoa Dinh Nguyen (and family, Houston) and four stepchildren: Danna Thao Nguyen (and family, Houston), Bonny Quynh Nguyen (and family, Houston), Nhu Quynh Nguyen (and family, Houston) and Minh Van Nguyen (and family, Houston).

Although he is no longer a part of this world, he left his family a legacy of love, thoughtfulness, kindness, humility, ambition, perseverance, and -if only to some of us- his exquisite vocals to karaoke and swift moves on the dance floor.
