Betty was preceded in death by her husband, George Gayle Griffith, and her daughter, Pamela Beth Griffith Bridger, as well as by her parents, her sisters Florene Nantz Fleming, and Imogene Nantz, and her brother, Grafton E. Nantz, Jr.
She was survived by her daughter, Jayni Mosher, and by her son, Timothy James Griffith and wife Lisa, as well as by four grandchildren Robert Clark Mosher, Murray Passarieu and wife Shawn, Kristofer Steven Griffith, and Bettina Grace Bridger, and three great-grandchildren, Josephine Marie Griffith, Katherine Belle Griffith, and Sean Lee Middleton.
She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, including Donald Gene Nantz, Clyde Edward Griffith, Nancy Lane Fleming, George Gary Griffith, Sandra Kay Nantz, Katherine Diane Griffith Call, and Carol Jo Griffith Lawson.
Betty and George lived in Clear Lake City for many years, and were very active at Clear Lake Presbyterian Church. Betty resided at Fort Bend Care Center in Rosenberg, Texas, for the last few years of her life.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, February 23, 2014, at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
A service to celebrate Betty's life will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, February 24, 2014. This will be held in the Chapel at Forest Park East, with Pastor Alan Brehm of First Presbyterian Church of Dickinson officiating.
