He was born in Texas City, Texas on December 12th, 1932, to William and Emma Zander.
He would marry the love of his life Mary Etta Zander on June 20th, 1959.
Arnold was an officer and past president of the Air Stream Club TCPU 155 Houston Texas, a longtime member of Faith Lutheran Church in Dickinson, Texas and a past member of the Lutheran Church of LaMarque, Texas and of Memorial Lutheran Church in Texas City. He retired from AMOCO Refinery in 1993 after over 40 years of service. He had a passion for camping, grilling, poker and bowling.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Emma Zander; brother, Walter Zander; sister, Lottie Tarin; and brothers-in-law, Ralph Gordy and Elroy Langley.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Etta Zander of 65 years; daughter, Laura Isenblitter and husband Kelly of Woodlands, TX; grandson, William Isenblitter of The Woodlands, TX; sisters-in-law, Gloria Langley of Pearland, TX and Ann Gordy of Kemah, TX; niece, Henryetta Doak and husband, Pete of Texas City, TX; nephews, William Zander and wife Dorothy of Santa Fe, TX, Chris Langley of Galveston, TX, James Langley of Pearland, TX, Glen Gordy of Kemah, TX; nieces, Janice Alexander of League City, TX and Diana Monaghan of Midland, TX, as well as numerous great nephews and great-great nephews and nieces.
Arnold took the upmost loving care of his beautiful wife Mary Etta during her battle with MS ever since 1995. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Serving as pallbearers will be James Langley of Pearland, TX, Chris Langley of Galveston, TX, Paul Kinze of Deerpark, TX, Glen Gordy of Kemah, TX, Kelly Isenblitter of Woodlands, TX, and William Isenblitter, Woodlands, TX
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at 9 am.
Funeral Service will be at 10 am in the chapel of Forest Park East Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Appel officiating.
Committal Service will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.
