April Michelle Hawkins Harris

April Michelle Hawkins Harris of Pasadena, Texas, was tragically taken from us on Saturday, July 9, 2011. She was born on April 28, 1974 in Pasadena to Michael and Michelle Hawkins. April was a 1993 graduate of Sam Rayburn High School in Pasadena Independent School District. April enjoyed working with children and spent many years taking care of other people. She was a devoted and loving mother to her two children and her days were often spent attending to their different needs and activities such as soccer, cheerleading or gymnastics or all three in one night. At her untimely passing, she was pursuing a degree in education and had returned to Pasadena Independent School District to work with children at Keller Middle School. April was a great fan of country music and had a lifetime dream of meeting Kenny Chesney. She was also a very strong sports fan and often supported her favorite teams by making a surprisingly large amount of noise for such a petite person. April is survived by her two children, Hailey and Koeby Harris, her mother, Michelle Hawkins, her father Michael Dewitt Hawkins and his wife Sandra; her brother, Michael Victor Hawkins and many other friends and relatives including her best friend of over 20 years, Stephanie Bourque.
