Anne Greer

Martha A. (Anne) Greer, age 80, passed away in Texas City on Saturday, December 6, 2014. She was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on January 23 1934. On June 5, 1956 she married the love of her life Richard J. Greer.

Anne was a devoted mother who spent her days raising her three beautiful children and took great pride in all their accomplishments. She made friends wherever she went and made each of them feel like she’d known them forever. Her greatest joy in life was being “Nana” to her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband Richard Greer; children Mike Greer and wife Leslie, Wendy Russo and husband John, Troy Greer and wife Isela, and Dana Thomason-Greer; grandchildren Zachary and Taylor Greer, Dioni and Evan Russo, and Dane Greer; sister Charlotte Koltko, and nieces and nephews; as well as her loving caregivers Olivia Williams and Jennifer Tabor.

The family will receive friends at Forest Park East Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Celebration of Life for Anne will be on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Diabetes Association.
