Anne Blackman, born October 28, 1946 in Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2015 surrounded by family. She is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Sheldon Blackman; parents, Stewart and Therma Edworthy; and brother, John. She is survived by her children Erika Box and husband Jason; Robert S. Jr.; and Sara Sagarnaga and husband, CJay; as well as her grandchildren, Katy and Samuel Box. She is also survived by her sisters, Cookie and Beth; brother, Charles; and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. After graduating from South Houston High School in 1965, Anne began her 47 year career at Wholesale Electric Supply Co. of Houston. Anne was devoted to her family, loved greatly, and will be missed tremendously. The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 29, and funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 30, at Forest Park East Funeral Home.
