Daniel Fransis Carr, 80, of Webster Groves. Fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Saturday, May 18, 2013. Survived by his loving wife, Margaret Ries (nee Long) Carr, his son, Douglas (Sharon) Carr, his daughter, Diane Carr, his step-daughters Colleen Ries (Jason) Fulton, and Kathryn Anne Ries, his step-grandchildren Jonathan (Nikki) Bragg and Maggie Bragg (Kosta) Demopoulos and six step-greatgrandchildren.
His parents were the late William Carr and Gertrude (nee Casey) Carr Russell. His brother, Willliam Carr died in 1994 and survived by his wife Irene. Dan had two nephews and two nieces. He also had several great nieces and nephews.
He graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in landscape architecture and a master’s from Webster University. He worked many years as a city planner. He and his wife owned the Old Folks Home Repair Business.
SERVICES: Visitation 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2013, Gerber Chapel, 23 W. Lockwood Ave., Webster Groves. A Mass of the Resurrection, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. May 23, 2013 in Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 676 W. Lockwood Ave., Webster Groves. Following the service Taps will be played outside the Church. Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with military honors.
