Waynesville-Wilma Sutton Lindsay, 93, died on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Maggie Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation after an extended period of illness. Wilma was born in Haywood County to the late Robert and Josie Hannah Sutton.
In addition to her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Lindsay; her son, Bobby Owen, Jr.; sisters, Tressie Meadows, Thelma West, Elfie Owen, Marjorie Harrell; and brothers, Tilson Sutton, Elford Sutton, Willard Sutton, and Leonard Sutton.
Wilma is survived by her son, Jerry Owen and his wife, Deana; a daughter, Mary Owen; and several grandchildren.
Private graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 30, at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum with the Pastor Zachary Williams officiating.
