Waynesville, NC - William Overton Underwood, age 77 passed away Friday, March 27, 2020. He was born on July 22, 1942 to the late Samuel Walter and Ruth Dickerson Underwood.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Monte Underwood of Waynesville, NC and Eugene Underwood of California; and a nephew, Stephen Underwood of California.
He was a sweet, kind, and quiet man. Even with a handicap he lived each day with grace, appreciation and never complained.
Left to cherish his memory are his nephews, Sam Underwood and wife, Nancy of Waynesville, NC, David Underwood and wife, Robin, of Pinedale, GA and Robert Underwood and wife Halyna of Canton, GA; three great nieces and six great nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at Green Hill Cemetery with the Reverend Michael Horton officiating.
