Wayne Monroe Smith

Fall Branch, TN-Wayne Monroe Smith, 73, formerly of Clyde, passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021. Wayne was born in Haywood County on December 13, 1947, to the late Clyde and Dorothy Price Smith.

In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his brothers, Eugene and Dean Smith; great-grandson Little Stephen Hodo; and granddaughter Kaylynn Sue Dockery.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Frances Cagle Smith; daughters Judysue Lawton (Andrew) and Maryjane Woodring; sister, Margaret Woody and family; brother, Dwight Smith and family; grandchildren Alyssa Conard, Desiree Dockery (Bubby), Eric Conard, Stormy Jane Carter, Billy Wayne Cagle, Jacob Strickler, William “Boy” Lawton, and Dylan Strickler; great-grandchildren, Nova Faith Hodo Kaylee Jane Dockery, Scarlett Nevaeh Strickler and Kaleigh Dockery; and his extended family, Lesia Fowler and family, Debbie “Do” Banks and family, Casandra Copeland, Ronda Ray and family, Janie Fowler (Frank), Brett Strickler, Kyle Lindsey, Josh Johnson, residents of CP#1 and the gang of Chestnut Park Drive.

A private visitation was held on August 2, 2021.

Wayne loved his family blood or not...he always believed in the good of people and would help out if he could. Keep your head up and believe in yourselves like he believed in you. You are more capable than you think and he will always be in your heart giving you strength to make it through...be good his youngins make good choices.
