Sue Eva Foster

Sue Eva Foster, 96, passed into eternal life on Sunday, October 23, 2022. She grew up in a large family in Meadow Fork (Joe), in Madison County, NC. Her parents were Hugh Monroe and Bessie Elizabeth Hicks Dixon. Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Carson Foster (1924-2000), son Alvin Keith Foster (1955-1993), and by brothers Walter, Troy, Hugh Monroe (H.M.), William (Jack), and Clinton, and sisters Mary Ann (Juanita) Trull, Ethel Brooks, and Laura Russell. Sue is survived by her daughter Elaine Foster-Loukinen and Elaine’s husband, Dr. Michael Loukinen, sister-in-law Juanita Clark Dixon and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be at the Cruso United Methodist Church by Reverend Peter Constantian on Monday, October 31, 2022. Viewing at 1 P.M. Funeral Service at 2 P.M. Post-service burial immediately behind the church at the Gwyn Cemetery. Luncheon afterward. Wearing face masks is appreciated but not required. The funeral is arranged by the Garrett Funeral Home at 828-456-8656.
