Steven "Steve" Ray Muse

Waynesville, NC - Steve Muse, 67, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2019 at the Charles George VA Medical Center. He was born in Haywood County on January 18, 1952 to the late Richard and Edna Muse.

Steve was a proud Vietnam Veteran serving in the US Army. He loved spending time with his granddaughter in nature. He was an avid fisherman who loved the outdoors and had a heart for rescuing senior dogs.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Ricky Muse and Victor Muse.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Twila Medford; son, Scott (Kelly) Muse; granddaughter, Nicole Muse; sister, Debbie (Martin) Long; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 in the chapel of Garrett Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VFW Post 5202 in Waynesville.
