Ruth Lillian McGaha Rich

Ruth Lillian McGaha 1928 - 2015 Ruth Lillian McGaha Rich, 86 of Clyde, passed away peacefully Monday, March 9, 2015 at the Homestead, Clyde, NC. Born June 26, 1928 and preceded in death by her parents, Isaac Burl and Ethel Nelson McGaha, her husband, Amos Rich, Jr., her brothers, Clay, Richard, Wade and Gene McGaha, also preceded in death by sisters, Zeomia, Hazel and Mary Ann. two sisters remain, Lucille and Maxine. She is survived by her children, Kenneth Earl Rich and his wife Brenda, Sherry Rich Darby and husband Dan, grandsons, Shane, Brad and wife Kyla, Brett and wife Elizabeth, Isaac Darby and granddaughter, Amber Trantham Brennskag and husband Matthew and two great grandchildren, Kaley and Kaiden Rich. Also, several nieces and nephews including Darius Gourm whom of which she shared her home. Mrs. Rich was a kind and compassionate woman who never met a stranger. She was a fantastic cook, loved to garden, sew, and had immense patience. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 12, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Garrett Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Garrett Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Reverend Jerry Nelson officiating.
