Whittier-Robert Joseph Brinson, 81, died on December 2, 2016, at Harris Regional Hospital. Robert was born in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, on November 7, 1935, to the late Robert Luther and Elizabeth Mae Davis Brinson. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Joanne D. Brinson; two daughters; two sons; two grandchildren; and three brothers. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 17, in the Mausoleum Chapel of Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park with Pastor Collin Shaw officiating. Inurnment will follow.
