Norma Abel Lindsay

Norma Abel Lindsay, age 85, of Waynesville, NC passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022. Norma was born July 15, 1936 in Johnson County, TN to the late Fred and Martha Abel.

Norma was a retired school teacher for many years with the Haywood County School System. She was a member of Hazelwood Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher. She was a volunteer for several years for Hospice in Haywood County.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dennie Lindsay and one brother, James D. Abel.

Left to cherish her memory are her siblings, Elizabeth Abel, Bill Abel, Steve Abel, Karen Sadler, Darlene Abel, Larry Abel, Gary Abel, and Kathy Hall, several nieces, nephews and extended family.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Hazelwood Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Hazelwood Baptist Church with the Reverend Tim Lolley officiating.

Burial will be held at Greenhill Cemetery.
