Nancy Francis Fowler

Nancy Francis Fowler, 90 passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Haywood Regional. Nancy was born in Haywood County NC, on October 1, 1934, to the late William Roy and Elizabeth Reeves Francis.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Jesse Fowler; sister, Jane Dudley Francis; and sons, Greggory and Eric Fowler.

Nancy is survived by daughters, Judith Jane Fowler and Patti Caskey; grandsons, Andy, Adam, Alex and Austin Fowler; and four great-grandchildren.

Nancy attended Waynesville High School, Greensboro College and Western Carolina University, where she earned her BS Degree in Music Education. Later she did graduate work at Rollins College in Winter Park, FL.

Nancy taught many years in the Haywood County School System, the Greensboro, NC School System and the Orlando/Orange County School System. She performed at The Lost Colony Outdoor Theater in Roanoke Island, in 1957. She served as choral/choir directors in Florida and North Carolina.

Nancy was a member of the First Baptist Church, in Waynesville; past member of the NCDAR and the Waynesville Duplicate Bridge Club.

She will be remembered for her love of music, art, genealogy and Bridge.
