Lynn Berkley Haddock, a “Papa” loved by all, passed away peacefully on September 25th, 2024, at Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina at the age of 89 with his family by his side. His soul transcended into God’s loving arms after a routine stroll through the Great Smoky Mountains.
Lynn was born on January 26,1935, in Fernandina Beach Florida, son of the late Henry Clyde Haddock and Anna Louise Haddock and was the youngest brother to late siblings Marion and Henry Haddock.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Theresa; loving daughter, Teri; caring son-in-law, Greg; one remarkable grandson, Pierson; and many extended friends who thought of him as their extended father.
Lynn was an Air Force Veteran, a Master Mason of Amelia Island Lodge #47 in Florida, a Shriner of the Scottish Rite Morocco Temple, and a member of Saint Boniface Episcopal Church in Mequon, Wisconsin. His hobby was his family and will be forever remembered for his overflowing warm hugs, his savory barbeque, his orange & blue true Gator spirit, and his matter of fact, easy going quality. Lynn loved the great outdoors and explored every continental state in the United States camping with his family. We are grateful for Lynn’s (Papa’s) love and devotion, thriving as a giver to enhance the lives of everyone around him.
A private Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date with family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Shriners Children’s Hospital located at 2900 N. Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Florida, 33607.
