Lois Greene Owen

Lois Greene Owen, age 79, of Waynesville, NC passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025. Lois was born in Haywood County on June 9, 1945, to the late Howard and Sarah Ferguson Greene.

In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband, JD Owen; and son, Todd Greene.

Lois is survived by her sons, Ted Spidle, Jr., Sean Spidle and Randall Owen; grandchildren, Lora, Derek, Allison, Jeffrey, Jenna, Katlyn, Tommy, Elizabeth and Mattie; great-grandchildren, Jude, Violet, Leilani, Calla, Holden, Oaklyn, Lacey, Braxton and Genesis; brother, Earl; and sisters, Hazel and Linda.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 10, at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Reverend Josh Skidmore officiating. The family will receive friends from 12-1:30 pm on Thursday, April 10, at Garrett Funerals and Cremations.
