Mom, 
     I can't believe it has been a year without you already. Life is just not the same. I miss you. I am grateful you are no longer in pain. I hope you are running and doing all the things you missed so much.

i did not know her very well as i only met her once but she was a sweet lady and from what i here from her daughter she is very loveing wish i had a chance to get to know her better nancy and ray allen

For as long as I can remember my mother was a constant source of Love encouragement and caring. With all of my fears and doubts in this world from childhood throughout my adult life there was one place that I knew that I was welcomed, safe and appreciated and that was in the vast Arena of my mother's heart. I remember my first day of school and the anxiety of being separated from her when it seems that fear and loneliness would overwhelm me I found a comb in my back pocket that have the smell of my mother's hair on it and in that moment that's an he's all of my fears because I knew at the end of that day I will see her again. I suppose that's the hardest thing now is knowing that on this side of Heaven I will no longer have that comfort. But I choose to live my life in honor and memory of the most incredible mother, friend and human being I have ever encountered. I miss you Mom.

     From the first time I met Karen, she made a long-haired country boy feel welcome.  Then, when I became a part of the family, she let me know that I was her favorite.  We all were.  It was just how she made you feel.  That you were loved and accepted for who you are.  
     Hopefully, we are wise enough to learn the lessons of the previous generations without having to pay the price that they did to learn them in the first place.  The lesson I learned from watching Karen be Karen was that you should love and accept people for who they are, reserve judgment, and maybe cook them something to show your love.  When it's my time to lay down in that field, I can't wait to ask her how she thinks I did.

My Mother, friend and confidant exemplified Love as set forth in 1 Corinthians 13. Her love carried me through some dark and desperate times. She had a way of making me feel loved, accepted, appreciated and needed as no one else could. Her love was unconditional and without limit. I love you Mom and miss you more than I can adequately express in words. Were it not for you I would have given up long ago. Thank you for always believing in me when I couldn't. 

Karen was a wonderful friend when our kids were growing up. We lived across the street from each other and had so many fun times   Alway loved you Karen ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Dearest Aunt Karen,
You were by far one of the sweetest Aunts I have ever had and I consider it both an honor and privilege of having you in my life.  You were an integral and important part of our Family. I have many fond memories of you. I nick named you Miss Aunt Wah and Uncle Joe was Hister Roo and you got such a kick out of it. We laughed about the names I gave you and Uncle Joe. We had no idea what it meant but you loved when I called you that. You called me "Sweetheart"  and it always made me feel loved and special. I have so many special memories of you when you lived 
in Long Island and in Florida . You were always so kind and gentle and you never had a negative work to say about anyone or anything. I was proud of my Aunt Karen who was a Full time 
Mom and had a Career as a Full Time Registered Nurse. You were a wonderful cook and baker and you had a talent for crafting as well. I remember the OH SO delicious English Muffin Bread, Hot Rolls and the oh SO GOOD Sugar Cookies! You gladly gave me your recipes and until this day I still have them. I made the sugar cookies and they were fabulous. I also remember the Snow  Ball Baby Frames that you made for Grandma and Grandpa which they loved and put under the Christmas Tree every year. They had photos of all your Children. Grandma and Grandpa loved them and proudly displayed them at Christmas time. I remember them well. I had such fond memories of your home in East Norwich playing with my sweet Cousins and Sweet Oliver your beautiful German Shepard. Those were memorable and such wonderful times that we shared. We ALL Loved you dearly as you were an exemplary person and vital part of our Lives. YOU will be sorely missed but never ever forgotten. I pray that you are resting in peace, free of illness and pain....strong and free the way you were meant to be. You are home now  in the arms of Jesus in Heavenly paradise. Every Christmas Eve as far back as I can remember my mom read the Velveteen Rabbit to us while we all snuggled up under the Christmas tree. This tradition continued until my adulthood. 
 She always made every holiday magical.  Homemade meals,  baked goods, music and love. Her heart and home were always open to everyone. I am thankful for my memories.  I am grateful to you mom for all your life lessons. I am so proud to be your daughter.
