Karaline Elizabeth Bryson, “Kara”, born June 24, 2005, a lifetime resident of Waynesville, NC died tragically in a storm-related incident on May 27, 2024 at Lake Chatuge, NC. Kara had completed her twelfth grade year at Tuscola High School in Waynesville, NC and would have received her diploma on May 31, 2024. Kara had completed her CNA certification and received her CNA pin. She planned to attend Haywood Community College in the fall and pursue a nursing degree and later further her studies in the medical field at a four year university. She was currently employed at Skyland Terrace & Rehabilitation where the residents adored her. Kara was a member of National Honor Society, Career & Technical Honor Society, and a North Carolina Academic Scholar.
Kara always had a love for animals. She grew up with family dogs and helped her mom with many rescue dogs through multiple rescue groups. The country girl in her loved to pull on her boots and help her cousin, Terry, with his barn and horses. She was a free spirit who never missed an adventure with friends or family. You could always find Kara with her Poppa at Starbucks, her friend at a Mexican restaurant, or talking her dad into performing the latest Tik-Tok dance with her. She was an incredible big sister to her three younger brothers. Kara will be lovingly remembered by her parents, Vanessa and Stephen, and her brothers, Noah, Grant, and Carter; her grandparents Robert and Jarilyn Tuttle and Walter and Josephine Bryson; her aunt and uncle Natalie and Mike Hoffman and her aunt Stephanie Bryson, best friends Juju and Callie, as well as a large extended family. She will be especially missed by her beloved yellow lab, Fetcher. Kara’s infectious laugh and beautiful smile could light up any room. She will be forever missed.
A celebration of Kara's life will be held at Pinnacle Church in Canton on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at 4:00 PM. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
