Jerry Wayne Owen

Waynesville, NC - Jerry Wayne Owen, 74 passed away Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Mission Hospital. He was born in Haywood County on April 30, 1946.

Jerry was owner/operator of J. Owen Trucking Company. He valued all of his employees that worked for him over the years. He enjoyed racing, collector cars and riding horses. Most recently he enjoyed being Papa to his grandchildren and spending his free time with them.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Davis Owen, Sr. and mother, Wilma Sutton Lindsay and husband, Fred; brother, Robert Davis Owen, Jr.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Deana Owen; step daughter, Amanda (Zachary) Williams, step son, Jacob (Rachel) Hyatt; grandchildren, Ellis and Emerie Williams; sister, Mary Owen.

Private services will be held for Jerry at Garrett Hillcrest Memorial Park.
