Waynesville - James "Ray" Smith, age 77, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2020. He was born on June 22, 1942 to the late Vincent and Leona Walker Smith.
Ray worked for the Town of Waynesville at the water treatment plant for 16 years.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Smith; and brothers, Harold and Billy Smith.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Chastity Plott; son, Robert Ray Smith; sister, Katherine Burke; brothers, Jerry and Joe Smith; step son, Danny Plott; niece, Sue Call Smith.
At Ray's request no services will be held.
