Jim was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors. He also loved family gathering and cooking.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James H. and Betty E. Messer; great granddaughter, Chloe Kirkpatrick.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Alice Gibson Messer; children, Lynne, Laura, Jenna, Justin, and Brittnay Messer; step children, Michael Cole, Brian Gibson, and Sarah Davis; grandchildren, Breona, Tyler, Elizabeth, Christina, Ryleigh, Lane, Aiden, and Bailey; step grandchildren, Channing, Nyah, and Amilya; and five siblings.
The family will be holding a memorial service at the residence for friends and family on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 2 PM.
