Harry Russell Roach Jr.

Waynesville–Harry Russell Roach, Jr. 75, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2019, at Maggie Valley Nursing and Rehab. He was born in Huntington, WV on September 25, 1944, to the late Harry Russell Roach Sr. and Kathryn Lane Roach. Harry served his country honorably in the US Air Force. He was an Air Traffic Controller for many years and was also a relator in Maggie Valley for many years as well. Harry enjoyed golfing, fishing, and loved his many dogs over the years, that were part of the family.

In addition to his mother, left to cherish Harry’s memory are his wife Donna Roach of 29 years; daughters, Tiffany Rathbun (Craig) and Amanda Carter (Brad); brother, Bobby Roach; sister, Janice Tyre (Curtis); granddaughters Audrey and Addison Carter; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be decided at a later date.

The family would like to offer a word of special thanks to the nurses and doctors at Haywood Regional Hospital in the ICU and ER departments.
